my second favorite adaptation from Sarah Waters. her stories, in a class of their own, are so full of rich drama, raw passion and clever twists - there is never a dull moment. i don't like to say too much about the Sarah Waters films as i believe they are always best experienced with as few hints as possible. at the end i am always left craving more.
